DRC natural resources press review of Wednesday, October 23, 2013

The National Assembly voted a law for the recovery of some companies , informs Radio Okapi . According to the UN radio , companies Sotexki , Gecamines Minocongo , QuoVadis , PLZ Brikin and some 200 other vital industries at risk for years, will be supported by the Congolese government for their recovery. Law supporting their rescue was reviewed and approved Monday, October 22 in the National Assembly . While welcoming the government's initiative , some national MPs are concerned about its feasibility. In the same order , the Potentiel newspaper says , on the proposal of the Minister of Portfolio, the government is preparing a rescue plan for the MIBA , the Sokimo and Sotexki . According to the same media , in South Kivu , indigenous pygmies demand access to their land in the Kahuzi -Biega park. Speaking to the press yesterday in Kinshasa , pygmy chiefs , led by the NGO " Environment, Natural Resources and Development ( ERND ) " demanded the recognition of their rights to the land they have , their reintegration and allocation damages for the harm suffered.
