In August 2012, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC ) in the U.S. State Department issued a rule requiring U.S. companies that use tungsten, tantalum, gold and tin to make their various products and ensure to make public the source of these minerals. This law should be applicable by 31 May 2014.
