DRC natural resource review press of Thursday, May 9, 2013
The daily
le Potentiel announces that "stakeholders in REDD + process in DRC
validated after integration of relevant notices and comments, the
concept note of the integrated program of emission reduction (ER-PIN) to
submit to the Fund Forest Carbon Partnership World
Bank (XPF) for districts Plateaux and Mai-Ndombe of Bandundu province,
which will form the future province of Mai-Ndombe DRC".The
tabloid reports that it was during a workshop Wednesday, May 8 in the
Ark room Ngaliema Clinic in Kinshasa by the Ministry of Environment,
with support from the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), to through its REDD project for people and nature (R-PAN), funded by the Norwegian Cooperation (Norad).For
its part the daily l'Avenir reports the "proofreading contracts the
emergency plan Regideso in the center of a workshop". Newspaper wrote that"
these meetings will allow all parties to these contracts to conduct a
review comprehensive
and detailed contractual provisions to ensure that the parties have a
common understanding of their respective obligations. This
work will also lead to the development of a draft concession contract
public service with a specification to be signed between the State and
the Regideso ".The
workshop for reviewing contracts of the emergency plan Regideso, the
newspaper said, originally scheduled for 23 and 24 April 2013 will
finally be held from May 13 to 14, 2013 in Events Center-Romeo Golf
Kinshasa. This
meeting will bring together experts from the Water sector and those of
the Government to review the objectives of the contracts including
performance contract with the Government in February 2012, and the
service contract with the group SDE / Finagestion in December of the
same year.
